To facilitate the handling and edging of quilts, BROSIOMECCANICA has designed and built an ultrasonic cutting system to be installed at the output of the quilting machine.
The use of ultrasonic units offers the advantage of keeping the edges of quilted materials together during the cutting phase.
With an electronic system developed by BROSIOMECCANICA, it is possible to control the amplitude of the ultrasonic units based on the speed of the quilting machine and the fabric weight.
Settings, adjustments, and alarms are displayed on a touch-screen terminal mounted on the front panel of the equipment.
Mechanical Features
The system consists of a carbon steel structure on which two ultrasonic heads are installed to trim the lateral edges of the quilted material.
A third ultrasonic unit, installed on a carriage, performs the cross cutting.
